Nick Lachey-Vanessa Minnillo

Nick Lachey & Vanessa Minnillo

2006 - current

Following his divorce from Jessica Simpson, Nick Lachey hit the rebound court hard with his "What's Left of Me" video vixen Vanessa Minnillo

The pair were spotted getting "hot and heavy" in March 2006 - just three months after Simpson filed legal documents ending her and Lachey's three year marriage.

It seemed that the romance was anything but casual when, a year later, Vanessa and Nick moved into an NYC condo together in April 2007. Vanessa had even fueled the gossip fire a month earlier when she admitted to wanting a family with three boys and a girl.

Rumors of a breakup began two years after Lachey and Minnillo made that big move - rumors they both denied before ultimately calling it quits in June 2009.

Of course, that version of events wouldn't make for a very good story and the couple were very much back on the following October. Nick even admitted in an interview that, although he'd been "single for a minute," he and Vanessa had "kind of patched things up."

The decision to rekindle their relationship seemed to be a good one - as they announced the following year, on November 5th, 2010, that they'd gotten engaged.

They were married the following summer, on July 15th, 2011, in the British Virgin Islands. And because reality television is in his blood, Nick convinced Vanessa to have the ceremony filmed for a special on TLC.

It wasn't long before Vanessa's "Soccer Mom" fantasy began playing out.

She and Nick announced their first pregnancy in March 2012 and their son Camden John Lachey was born that fall, on September 13th, 2012.

Camden became a big brother on January 6th, 2015 when his sister Brooklyn Elisabeth Lachey was born. In a statment on their website, the mother of two could not contain her excitement for the ever growing Lachey-Minnillo clan:

"I have been dreaming of this moment for as long as I can remember, the day I was going to meet my little girl. A friend recently told me how magical today was going to be because it's the day I would meet my best friend," she wrote. "I can't even begin to tell you how it felt to hold her in my arms for the very first time. Mommy, Daddy and big brother Cam love you so much already, Brooklyn! Thank you to everyone for your love and support, it means so much to our family. Xx, The Lacheys."
